Escape to St. Augustine

The Fetch Ranch has been a whirlwind of activity.  It feels so cliche to say, “We’ve been so busy!”–I mean, really, who isn’t?  My amazing husband whisked me away on a recent weekend to escape the busy-ness, and we headed over to St. Augustine!  We enjoyed our peace and quiet together wandering the adorable town.  The weather was gorgeous…we couldn’t have picked a better weekend to go.

We had such a nice time and decided it has been way too long since we’ve had a little excursion.  We vowed to plan more of these weekend getaways into our schedule!  I wonder where we’ll go next?!

Ski Vacation 2013

We had such an amazing time skiing in Utah last year that we decided to do it again.  Just one short week after moving into our new house we escaped the 80 degree Florida weather for the chilly (and very snowy) Utah mountains!  Everyone got a little more confident and a little more daring this year.  Joel introduced all of us to skiing in the trees which turned out to be lots of fun…and a little scary.  We were all glad to get home but we had a fabulous time on the slopes!

And now that we are back home, the serious construction has begun on the Fetch Ranch.  Stay tuned!

Sister Bird’s Wedding

For Labor Day weekend, we traveled back to NYC, for my little sister’s wedding.  She did an amazing job getting everything organized and planning a fabulous event!  She even managed to shop for and design her own flowers the day before the wedding!  I was so impressed.  NYC has some amazing flower markets.  I took lots of pictures of the beautiful flowers and am so envious that we don’t really have any thing this amazing near us.

Here’s a look at the beautiful bridesmaid’s bouquets that my sis put together…

After the rehearsal dinner, my babe and I went on a 6 mile walk around the city.  Holy cow we were pooped when we returned!!  We grabbed a refreshing popsicle at High Line Park…

And then stopped for a view of the Hudson River…
There was an odd little man sitting next to us practicing his lines from a script while wearing only a speedo so we didn’t sit here long before moving on.

The wedding was delightful and my sister looked so beautiful!!  She was beaming the entire day and into the night.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs DeFab!!  We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
